Traffic in Bangkok freaking sets records. I think the only time I saw light traffic was during one early morning around 4am when I knew I wasn’t going to be able to sleep and took a stroll down Sukhumvit Road after some late night drinking – it was a ghost town.

Even after many trips to Thailand I still cannot believe the amount of retail space dedicated to Bangkok. The shopping malls here are huge dwarfing anything in the US.
